The Center for Instructional Support hosts and participates in a variety of professional development activities. Join us!
In collaboration with the University community, we create opportunities to explore, experiment, practice, and to just think together about teaching, learning and technology (Instructional Institutes, workshops, brown bags, and seminars). We also make the University community aware of events sponsored by other programs.

Finding time for professional development can be challenging. Our subscription to an online library of videos by dynamic practitioners may be just the solution.
Choose a 20-minute video for a quick change of pace or dig in with a 40-60 minute presentation. Either way, you can access these videos from work, home or local coffee shop—wherever you have wifi! In many cases, the videos are supplemented by handouts and other resources to help you review and apply what you've learned.
If you prefer webinars with lively discussion on the side, join us in the "CIS microPLEX" in Library 321 for a video and treats. Beginning with our GRAND OPENING on October 12, we'll be hosting 20-minute selections every Wednesday from 12:30 to 1:30. Get your "Magna Video Member" card punched for every session you attend for the chance to win prizes! Check the Microplex Calendar for dates, times and topics.
