Diversity Scholars

The SOU Diversity Scholarship is a fee remission scholarship open to new and continuing students who demonstrate academic excellence, are willing to contribute to the Southern Oregon University's diversity through community involvement and cultural sharing, and/or a range of interests including leadership roles and extracurricular activities.  For more information on the requirements and how to apply for the scholarship, please visit the SOU Scholarship Webpage.  


McNair Scholars

The Ronald E. McNair Post-Baccalaureate Achievement Program was established in 1989 to increase the number of students from underrepresented segments of society in doctoral programs, and thus increase representation of these groups in higher education. In October 2003 Southern Oregon University received a grant from the U.S. Department of Education to offer this program. For more Information on this program, please visit the SOU McNair Program.


Success at Southern

Success at Southern is a TRiO Student Support Services Program, which is committed to increasing the college retention and graduation rates of eligible participants. By providing a variety of services to meet students' needs, we assist eligible participants in clarifying their goals, succeeding academically in their chosen program of study, and graduating with a bachelor's degree in a timely manner. International Programs

The Office of International Programs is at the heart of SOU’s commitment of international teaching and learning. Each year, SOU hosts international students and scholars from dozens of countries, and sends dozens of students overseas for study abroad programs.
