Our keynote speaker for the Summit this year will be Ben Grey. Ben is the Assistant Superintendent for Innovative Learning and Communications in Community Consolidated School District 59, outside of Chicago. He seeks innovative ways to afford students and staff greater opportunities to experience authentic learning in the formal and informal spaces of education. Ben spent the first eight years of his career in education as a classroom teacher where he taught fifth, sixth, and seventh grade. He spent three years as an instructional technology coordinator and then three years as a chief information officer prior to taking his current position in CCSD59. Ben was also an adjunct professor in the Master of Education in Literacy program at Judson University for five years. Ben was named the Illinois Computing Educator's Educator of the Year for administrators in 2012.
