Being Prepared May Save Your Life

Southern Oregon University is committed to enhancing the safety of the students, faculty, staff, and visitors to campus. As part of this commitment, the University has prepared this Emergency Procedure Manual relating to campus safety, emergency management and the health and welfare of the campus community. The EMERGENCY RESPONSE HANDBOOK is available in PDF format and reviews response procedures for possible emergencies which may occur at SOU. Faculty, staff, and students should become familiar with these procedures, and review the manual throughout the year.

Emergency Operations Plan

SOU has developed a comprehensive Emergency Operations Plan addressing the four major phases of disaster management: preparedness, response, recovery and mitigation. This plan encompasses the Basic Emergency Operations Plan along with and Infectious Disease Annex, a Crisis Communication Annex, and a Mass and Timely Notification Annex.
