Each year the Department of Education selects a portion of students' financial aid applications nationwide for "verification." This process confirms certain information supplied on the FAFSA. Students must submit the required documentation and be verified before receiving financial aid.
Southern Oregon University Financial Aid is going mobile and paperless to process verification electronically. SOU Students can also submit Financial Aid Appeals, Dependency Override Appeals, and Professional Judgment Appeals for those that have had a significant change in income.
Selected for Verification? Complete the verification process by clicking below. Students must follow the link and activate their account. Parents must follow the link and setup their account to e-sign verification documents. Parents will also be able to setup an account once they receive an email from firstname.lastname@example.org letting them know that their student has completed their verification and just need a signature from the parent. Please note: Your information must match your FAFSA information exactly in order to set up both the parent and student account. If the information inputted does not match, you won't be able to set up your account. If you are having any issues with this you can review your FAFSA to double check all the information is correct. After checking the information if you are still not able to setup your account please email us at email@example.com or call the ESC at 541-552-6600.
All verification must be completed through the student portal. Any incomplete or unreceived files will have to submit all required documents through the student portal.
