Online Employment System for Staff and Faculty
SOU utilizes an online employment system https://jobs.sou.edu/. All participants involved in the recruitment process, including job seekers, search committee members, department chairs and division directors, and administrative support staff are able to perform their functions from any computer with internet access.
Staff and Faculty Job Seekers are able to:
- View advertised positions online 24 hours per day/7 days per week (24/7)
- Apply for any open position 24/7 at https://jobs.sou.edu/ from any computer with internet access
- Monitor status of your application through individually assigned password protected user account
- Receive immediate confirmation of electronically submitted application
- Complete basic application information one time and update/edit, as needed, when applying for other positions.

Section 485 of the Higher Education Act, and The Federal Crime Awareness and Campus Security Act of 1990 (now referred to as the “Clery Act”), requires that current and prospective students and employees are notified of the availability of our Annual Security and Fire Safety Report. The report provides the annual statistics and campus policies for the reporting of and responding to campus crimes and fires; access to campus facilities; conduct code and campus policies on use, possession and sale of drugs/alcohol; and educational/information programs to inform the campus community about campus security procedures and crime prevention.
