OLLI provides single-topic educational programs that are free and open to the public.
Lectures are held in the Presentation Hall on the first level of the RCC/SOU Higher Education Center at 101 S. Bartlett Street in Medford. Registration is required to ensure adequate seating.
Friday, Sept. 27: "Philosophy and the Buddhist Path" presented by Mitchell Frangadakis, SOU Philosophy Instructor & longtime Buddhist practitioner. Explore Buddhist doctrine through the lens of traditional Western philosophy, reviewing the development of core Buddhist concepts from their inception in India to their current standing in the modern world.

Friday, Nov. 1: "U.S. Immigration Law and Policy: Contemplation and Reflection" presented by John A. Almaguer, Attorney at Law Topic: Examine immigration as a global movement with special emphasis on how that movement has played out in the U.S., tracing the development of U.S. immigration law and policy. The various ways a person can obtain legal status will be explained, as will recent developments and proposals for changing our current system. Attendees will learn what the law actually is and how it works to encourage informed discussion of this timely issue.
