Welcome New Students and Families!

Congratulations on your choice to become a Southern Oregon University Raider!

We are eagerly awaiting your arrival to campus to introduce you and your family to SOU.

New Student Orientation (NSO) programs are the first step toward graduation. NSO programs are dynamic, student-centered experiences to inspire a purposeful transition into the SOU community.

The NSO program consists of academic sessions, social activities, and workshops. NSO fosters an emotional connection to the people, places, and ideas of the SOU community to inspire success. Within this community built at orientation, you will learn from staff, faculty, and current students the best practices for academic and personal success as you begin the journey toward graduation.

The Raider Guidebook hosts the Orientation Schedules for students and families. We will be updating this guide regularly. All students, parents and families please access the Raider Guidebook  on your mobile device. You can also access the Raider Connection Guide on your computer. I encourage you to look up the schedule before arriving to campus!

After reviewing the schedule, if you require accommodations for any events during WOW, please contact Disability Resources at (541)-552-6213.
All new students are expected to participate in New Student Orientation. If you have questions, please contact Danielle Mancuso at (541) 552-8346 or mancusod@sou.eduWe are looking forward to welcoming you to Southern Oregon University!
