On November 20th, the Queer Resource Center and various campus partnerships will be working together to engage our campus in recognition of the Transgender Day of Remembrance. On this day, which occurs annually on November 20th, we will memorialize those who have lost their lives because of transphobia and where it intersects with misogyny, misandry, race, class, and ability among others, and to bring attention to the continued violence endured by the Trans* community.

Transgender Day of Remembrance

 Date/Time: Monday, Nov. 20th at 6:30-8:00pm

Location: Diversions in Stevenson Union Ground Level

TDOR will highlight the impact of how our society deals with trans identified individuals highlighting those folks in our prison system, in poverty, and those with numerous marginalized identities. The intention of the event is to remember the lives lost as well as to honor and celebrate them as we work to create resistance with our existence, raise awareness and encourage action. Refreshments will be provided. American Sign Language (ASL) interpreters will be present at this event.

If you have questions about any of the events, please don't hesitate to reach out to the Queer Resource Center by email at and/or by phone at 541.552.8329
