Camille Connolly (1999), Scenic and Lighting Design

Camille Connolly was assistant scenic designer in 2007 for the Tony award-winning musical comedy Lovemusik on Broadway at the Biltmore Theatre. She designed the set for the 2007-2008 tour of the African Children's Choir.

In 2004, Connolly designed the set for John Patrick Shanley's Sailor's Song at the LAByrinth Theater Company in New York City. "Camille Connolly’s set conveys hints of a porch, a wharf and a barroom with neat economy, while the soft blues of Beverly Emmons' lighting hit the right romantic fairy-tale note," says a review by David Rooney in Variety.

She also designed the set for The Baker's Wife (Carnegie Mellon University), Life during Wartime at the New School, Live Coverage at FringeNYC, and assisted with the scenery for Howard Stern, Martha Stewart Living, ABC News Tonight, Modo Eyewear, Nickelodeon International Licensing Exhibit, Bill T. Jones/Arnie Zane Dance Company at the Hopkins Center, and the Weather Channel for Jack Morton/Production Design Group.

She designed lighting for the American Girl Revue (American Girl Place NYC) in 2003, and for 5 Guys Named Moe (Oregon Cabaret Theater).

Connolly received the 2002 USITT Lighting Design Award, sponsored by Barbizon, for lighting designers pursuing a graduate degree.

Connolly received a MFA in Lighting and Scene Design in 2002 from Carnegie Mellon University, as well as completing the Gilbert Hemsley Lighting Internship Program at the Lincoln Center.
