2020 SOU CCJ Lock-In Event

The Southern Oregon University (SOU) Criminology & Criminal Justice (CCJ) 19th Annual Lock-In Event will be held on Friday 2/28/2020.

It is only a 1 day event and when you enroll you get 1 credit! Find the Lock-In event under CCJ (Criminology & Criminal Justice Dept.) - class CCJ 199

The Lock-In event offers students an opportunity to work firsthand with local, regional and state criminal justice professionals, in training simulation scenarios. Students train and practice, just as officers do in the field. Agencies donate their time and the equipment to make this event possible. Demonstrations include: K-9 Patrol Dog, Explosives Unit, Crime Scene Investigation, DUII stops, MILO (Shoot/Don’t Shoot Scenarios) and more+++. The event begins with an OPTIONAL ORPAT assessment. Oregon Physical Abilities Test (ORPAT) is a simulated chase, fight, and apprehension scenario (fitness test) that is mandated by the Department of Public Safety Standards and Training for all police recruits to complete within a designated time period. Students do not need to be a Criminal Justice Major to participate in the Lock-In. During the event, the student receives a light snack, pizza dinner, and the experience of a lifetime!
