Miranda Haggard - Graduate Assistant for Outreach and Programming

Miranda joined Veterans Resources in the SJEC in the Fall of 2020. She is currently a LT in the Oregon Army National Guard and was recently activated during the fires. Miranda is pursuing her MAT with a goal to be a teacher. She has been an excellent addition to the team!

Veterans Resources in the Social Justice and Equity Center - PAVE Advisors 

P.A.V.E. Advisors are current students that can assist with general questions about the university. These students support programming, outreach, and social media initiatives at the VRC at SOU. Stop by and say hello as they are normally at the front desk or sitting at a table ready to assist you.

PAVE Advisor

Abigail is a great addition to our team. She spent most of her life surrounded by the military. Her father was in the Navy and shortly switched to the Coast Guard, serving 20 years altogether. She joins us at SOU via Alaska and is majoring in emerging media and digital arts.

PAVE Advisor

Billy served in the United States Marine Corps as a Combat Engineer from 2013 to 2016. He
received the Purple Heart from being injured in Afghanistan. Billy loves the outdoors, hiking, backpacking, trail running, floating in the Rogue River, rock climbing, and many more activities. He is currently n the Outdoor Adventure Leadership degree path as a Senior and plans on pursuing the Master’s degree path for OAL.

PAVE Advisor

John is an OEF/OIF era Navy veteran who maintained reconnaissance drones while in service. He is from Central Coast California and has lived in the Medford area for the last 5 years. He enjoys outdoor sports like kayaking, surfing, hiking, camping, and loves to the beach. Also, he is currently involved in the Psychology, PSI CHI, and Yoga and Meditation clubs on campus.

PAVE Advisor

Weston served in the US Air Force for 7 years as an F-16 Crew Chief. He is from San Marcos, Texas. Weston is the current SVA president and Outdoor Adventure Leadership major. He enjoys mountain biking, trail running, rock climbing, backcountry skiing, scuba diving, any adventure, any time.
