Overview

The Class Roster Query Form displays the names, ID's, class standing, level, major codes, and grades (for previous term rosters) for the students registered in a class along with contact information.


Accessing the Class Roster Query Form from Banner

Banner includes a Query menu. This menu contains commonly used Banner forms. When you become familiar with the names of the forms, you can eliminate the use of menus by typing the 7-10 character form name in the Direct Access box as soon as you enter Banner.

  1. Log into Banner.

  2. Open Southern Oregon University menu.

  3. Open Query menu.

  4. Select the Class Roster Query form.


Viewing Class Rosters

Select the Class Roster Query form (SQASLST) to view students enrolled in a class. The Class Roster Query form is divided into three visible blocks of data separated by horizontal lines. The upper block (Key block) contains information that will be used to identify the class. The middle block contains a summary of information about the class.  The lower block (Detail block) contains a list of the students enrolled in the class identified in the Key block.

Key Block

The Key block identifies the class for which a roster will be displayed. Enter the following information:

Term: Enter the registration term code for the class. Choose Help/List from the menu bar to view valid term codes.

Course Reference Number:  Enter the CRN for the class.  Choose Help/List from the menu bar to launch the Schedule Section Query form (SSASECQ) if you don't know the CRN.

Once the above fields have been entered, choose Block/Next from the menu bar to move to the Detail block or use the mouse to click into the Detail block. Students enrolled in the class entered in the Key block will be listed.

Summary Block

There are no fields in the summary block which are directly accessible. To select what is viewed in the summary block, enter term and CRN in the key block as explained above.

Detail Block

The Detail block displays the names, ID's, class standing, level, major codes, and grades (for previous term rosters) for the students registered in a class along with contact information.   From the Detail block you can choose Query/Enter and Query/Execute from the menu bar to query a class roster on Student ID, name, hours, original grade and registration status.

Choose File/Exit from the menu bar to exit the form.
