Students at Southern Oregon University are invited to improve their sports photography skills at the Raider Invitational on April 20-21, 2018. SOU faculty Erik Palmer, Ezra Marcos and Al Case will provide hands-on instruction and insights during the two-day track meet at Raider Stadium.
Interested students can participate on Friday, April 20 (4-9pm); Saturday, April 21 (10am-3pm); or both. Students should bring a DSLR camera and full array of lenses, but instructors will work with any student and any equipment to help achieve best results during the meet.
Palmer is chair of the Communication Program at SOU, and formerly served as managing producer and head photographer for Trackwire Online. His photographs have appeared in Track & Field News, Runners World, ESPN: The Magazine, People Magazine and other national publications. Marcos is an adjunct instructor of photography at SOU, and among Southern Oregon's top assignment photographers. Case is a senior instructor in the Business Program, and also a talented event and sports photographer.
