Exploring Wholeness: Connecting Voices and Visions
Hosted by the School of Education at Southern Oregon University in Ashland, Oregon

Join us in an explorative program format we are hoping will bring a dynamic and interactive feel to the conference. Instead of keynotes, we are featuring several wise elders who will bring their own voices and visions to conversations in holistic education. Designed around fishbowl style plenaries on each of the three days, spontaneous conversations around core questions in holistic education can take place among the elders in the presence of all, and amongst all participants. Fireside chats with elders and structured response moments will provide many opportunities for more intimate exchanges of ideas and questions.

The conference program also includes a wide variety of experiential sessions, roundtable discussions, along with several 2-hour workshops on selected topics.

Among the many strands of Holistic Education, topics will include:

  • Communities of Practice
  • Contemplative/Mindfulness
  • Creative/Artistic/Imaginative
  • Cultural/Culturally Responsive
  • Earth and Nature-based/Environmental
