Southern Oregon University is committed to the ethical, responsible conduct of research. Regulatory and compliance committees have been created to assure researchers at the University adhere to federal and state laws regarding research activities. It is all researchers’ responsibility to be familiar with university policy as it relates to those areas of research requiring compliance with government regulations.

This page and links are primarily for faculty to help you comply with federal and state laws and institutional policies regarding research activities. Students may also conduct research and need training and should do that under supervision of faculty. If you are new to research at SOU, we strongly recommend starting with research training and then revisit this page selecting the other elements that apply to your research project.
