“Training Leaders for the Future”

The SOU Department of Military Science provides on- campus military science instruction that is open to all students without military obligation. All classes are full accredited and applicable toward fulfilling academic requirements for a baccalaureate degree.

The department also provides a minor in military science available to all students. The ROTC component of the Department of Military Science provides the option for the students to become Army Officers in the National Guard, Reserves, or Active Duty.
