An advising plan is a set of courses to be completed within the next few terms. Making an advising plan is an opportunity for students to discuss their goals with their advisor. Southern Oregon University requires all students to have an advising plan and those plans must be updated at least annually with their advisor. Advisors may require students to meet with them more than once a year, if necessary.
Yes! Log into your Inside SOU account and look on the right hand side in the blue box labeled Online Services. Click on Degree Works for Students.
Your Advisor is listed at the top and their name is a link to their email address.
OR, under Banner Self Serve click on Student Profile.
In the Student Profile section, look under the "Advisor" heading, if you have an assigned advisor, you will see their name listed. You can search the online directory (link is at the top of the Inside SOU homepage) to find the advisor's name and e-mail information.
If an advisor name does not appear, follow the advice above to get an advisor.
