Take a class for fun, learn new skills for your job, go on a travel program, and much more! We want to keep you connected with the best part of college and involved with lifelong learning, no matter where you are at in your career and your life.

Professional Development workshops are available through the year. We also offer one-day events such as the Women's Leadership Conference in May and the Business Resource Forum in October.

Credit Classes - The extensive SOU catalog is yours to explore! Community members may enroll in regular credit classes beginning 2 weeks before the term starts, on a space-available basis. All students must have an unmodified high school diploma; other restrictions may apply. Regular tuition and fees will be charged. You may apply as a Non-Admitted student online and register and pay for classes from there. Exception: Oregon residents age 65 or older can audit many of the credit courses listed in the regular SOU class schedule free of tuition, although course fees still apply. You must obtain instructor approval and complete an audit form (click here to download the form). Due to the format of studio art instruction and lab use, auditing studio art courses is not permitted.

OLLI (Osher Lifelong Learning Institute) - With 125+ classes in Ashland and Medford each term, this member-run program offers the opportunity to explore intellectual interests with your peers.

SOU Retirees Association - Emeritus Faculty and other retirees of the University gather quarterly to connect with each other and the University in an intellectual and social environment.
