Michael Naumes has partially retired as of December, 2013 and will continue to teach Group Dynamics & Training and Organizational Psychology as part of his 600-hour contract.  Over his 30+ year career at SOU he offered several suggested electives such as Creative Thinking, Personal/Social Adjustment, Creative Problem Solving and Decision Making along with most of the non-counseling courses the psychology department offered. Michael has a Ph.D. in Experimental Cognitive Psychology, with a minor in Trainer Behavior. He has many years of experience in guiding and assessing group processes and conducting workshops with several local agencies and has relevant professional experience in settings ranging from academic departments to community resources such as the Urban Corps. Michael has been chair of the department and was the OTD Coordinator for the Master of Applied Psychology program.  He retired from SOU in 2016.
