Teaching:
A variety of precalculus and calculus courses, Intro to Algebraic Systems, and Contemporary Mathematics.
Mathematical Interests/Specialties:
My specialty is in Abstract Algebra, more specifically in an area called Arithmetic Geometry covering topics like Modular Curves and Elliptic Curves.
Personal Interests:
- Music has been a big part of my life from a young age. Whether it's singing, drumming or listening, music is a part of my daily routine. I'm a proud ex-member of the drumline from my high school's marching band and college's pep band. I actually considered studying music in college and becoming a band or choir teacher, but ultimately decided to pursue mathematics instead.
- I also enjoy art of different types including drawing (mostly digitally these days) and I am an amateur photographer.
- I enjoy anything with a beautiful scene so moving to Ashland has been a real treat. I'm excited to explore more and try out some more hikes.
- I love to watch horror/thriller movies or shows with my husband no matter what time of the year. :)
- Lastly, I love spending time with loved ones, which looks a little different after moving across the country from the east coast.
