October 4 - Rheumatology Pearls

Yasmin Maldonado, MD, a rheumatologist in the Asante Health Network, will describe the broad scope of rheumatological conditions, including rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, lupus, osteoporosis, and gout, along with established and emerging treatments.

October 11 - Understanding Chronic Wounds and Treatment Strategies

Mathew Hiesterman, DO, a surgeon and medical director of the wound and hyperbaric treatment center at Asante Ashland Community Hospital, will discuss the causes and effects of diabetic, venous stasis, and pressure wounds and their treatment.

October 18 - Updates on Treatment Options for Acute Stroke

Oscar Sanchez, MD, a neurologist at Asante Rogue Regional Medical Center, will share updates on current options available for the treatment of acute stroke, which remains a leading cause for long-term disability and the fifth leading cause of death.

October 25 - Management of the Urological Changes of Aging Adult

Christina Godwin, MD, of Asante Urology, will cover the changes that can come with the aging urogenital system, including female and male incontinence, and conditions such as uterine prolapse and enlarged prostate.
